The center offers an
audiovisual program about Fredericksburg, block admission tickets for attractions,
free parking passes, maps, brochures, restaurant information and reservations
for hotels and motels. The Visitors center is one of the few places in
Old Town that have public bathrooms. Hours or operation are 9 a.m. to 7
p.m. seven days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day and 9-5 the rest

The visitors
center is just off I-95 Exit 126 and offers comprehensive touring information
for the Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania and Stafford area. They also have
a small gift shop and tons of brochures. The offer a short video
which provides an overview to the area’s history and attractions. Open
daily: 9am-5pm, extended summer hours. Closed January 1, Thanksgiving,
December 24 and 25.

Stafford's Visitor Center
is located close the the Fredericksburg City limits, just across the river
at Gari Melchers' Belmont Estate. The center provides a short film about
Belmont and local information about Stafford County Sites.

The National
Parks, run two Military/Battlefield Visitor Centers in the local area.
Though operated by the National Parks, they are two totally unique Visitors
Center, each offer a different short video of the area along with exciting
museum exhibits, with hands on for the children. They also offer maps,
brochures and guided tours. However there is an admission to the Military
Battlefields.
