Current tax rates are $1.08/$100 assessed at 100% for real estate (due June 5 and Dec. 5), $5.49/$100 assessed at 40% for personal property. Tax relief for elderly and disabled. Sales tax: 4.5% (3.5% state + 1% local). Meals are taxed at 4%. 

Auto decals cost $23 for cars, $18 motorcycles. All decals must be purchased with 30 days of establishing a residence and are purchased at county treasurer's office with a deadline of Apr. 15. Dog tags cost $10 for animals that have not been spayed or neutered and $5 for animals that have, new tags deadline is January.

Dog licenses must be renewed by January 31
