Towards the end of November, the City lights the official City Christmas Tree at a large celebration on the street. The tree is located on the corner of George and Prince Anne Streets in front of the old Wallace Library next to the City School Board offices.

The tree lighting always features Mr. and Mrs. Claus, a sign-a-long, Santa's Elves and fun for the entire family young and old. Held on the first Friday after Thanksgiving in the month of November
