Area Guides

SimplyFredericksburg receives many emails requesting information about the local area that we have a hard time answering effectivly in a timely manner. To help combat this problem in the future and to add more content to the web site, SimplyFredericksburg is looking for what we are calling ‘Area Guides’ to assist us in making the web site even better. An ‘Area Guides’ is simply a person (or group of people) that are subject matter 'experts in a' particular field. Maybe the term expert is a little much, but what we are looking for are individuals or groups of individuals that are willing to put a few hours a month in to helping the community.

As a guide, you will submit content (about your subject) to SimplyFredericksburg for inclusion into the website. You will, of course, receive credit for your work with a by-line and a photo (of you) on your submitted work. Questions and comments about your subject will be forwarded to you by SimplyFredericksburg. If you are not familiar with the concept of online guides, we have developed a FAQ to better explain this concept.

As an ‘Area Guides’, you will have an opportunity to work with dozens of other community guides from the local area. We handle all the major details. We provide you with the server space and tools to set up your page. All you need to do is provide the SimplyFredericksburg staff with the information for your page(s) and we will input the information into the page. It's that simple! Every page you provide information for will have your picture on it and your name. Visitors viewing your page(s) will be able to contact you directly via your SimplyFredericksburg email address to ask you question about your topic. We can also setup a message board which you will moderate.
